Branding

Positioning first, visuals second

Brand strategy, identity, logo design, and guidelines - built to stay consistent long after the first project ends.

Most rebrand conversations start with "we need a new logo," which is usually the wrong starting point. A logo is a downstream decision - the upstream one is positioning: what the business actually stands for, and why that should matter to the person deciding whether to buy.

We build brand work in that order. Strategy first - positioning, voice, and honest competitive differentiation - before any visual exploration begins. Identity and logo work follow, tested for legibility at billboard size and favicon size alike, in colour and in plain black and white, because a mark that only works in one context isn't finished. Guidelines document the whole system afterward, written so someone who's never met us could apply the brand correctly using only the document.

Visual identity application across every touchpoint - web, social, email, print - is what makes a brand feel like one company rather than five slightly different ones.

Common questions

Typically six to ten weeks for strategy, identity, and guidelines - longer if it includes a full website redesign as part of the rollout.

That depends on whether the positioning itself has changed. If the business and audience are the same, a visual refresh may be enough; if the strategy has shifted, a logo alone won't fix the mismatch.

A documented identity system - logo, colour and type system, imagery guidelines, and usage rules - built so anyone applying the brand later can do so consistently without guessing.

No - a stronger brand improves clarity and consistency, which tends to shorten sales cycles and reduce mismatched leads, but it doesn't create demand on its own. We won't promise a sales outcome branding work isn't positioned to control.

Both. New businesses skip the audit-of-what-exists step but still need positioning defined before any visual work starts - starting fresh doesn't mean skipping strategy.

Rebranding, or building a brand from scratch?

We start with positioning and strategy - the visual identity follows from that, not the other way round.
